West Leeds Junior Rugby League Club was formed in 1997 by three friends. Sam Horner, Peter Nicholson and Mick Preston,continuing the success of the previous open age side which moved to merge with another club. based at West Leeds Sports and Social Club on Redshaw Lane.

It was 14 years ago since those early days, and since then the club has gone from strength to strength. Having grown in size considerably the club now facilitates teams, from U5's all the way to an Open Age team and have now ventured into masters rugby,operating in Mini mod, Yorkshire and Pennine Leagues.

Our main concern at WLARLFC is now and has always been our players and our presence in the community. In recent years the club has become something of hub of activity for the youngsters in our area and the Committee here at the club intend to keep it that way.
